Genetic Home Testing Has Never Been Easier
With Angelenome, you now have access to an affordable, accurate, and safe hereditary cancer risk test that you can administer yourself right from the comfort of your own home. Simply provide us with a saliva sample by using the included collection kit, mail it back to us in the very same box that we delivered it in with the prepaid return label, and await your results.
In the mean time, reap the benefits of our comprehensive genetic counseling services, as well as a number of resources where you can gain instant access to medical research on breast cancer risks and related hereditary cancers.
A real medical professional or physician will review your sample and will determine if it contains genes that are linked to a hereditary risk for breast cancer. From there, you will be notified directly of our findings, as well as some information about next steps where applicable.
With high quality, high accuracy, and high safety – why risk it? Take the test and get the information that you need.
True Value & A Unique Testing Experience
Angelenome is the first genetic testing kit to come combined with a dedicated mobile application for users to gain a deeper insight into their test, their results, their genetic makeup, and their risk for developing breast cancer – as well as so much more.
The most important thing about understanding and managing your risk for breast cancer is the support that you receive after you’ve seen your test results. The dedicated Angelenome mobile application allows users to receive a comprehensive support system that doesn’t just disappear after your report has been generated. For us, what we do and what we offer is much more intensive, much more personal, and much more passionate.
With the Angelenome mobile application, you’ll gain the ability to:
Know The Risk
When it comes to breast cancer, it’s common that we all know at least one person who is currently battling the disease, is in remission, or lost their battle. If it runs in your family, knowing the risk is the first and foremost important step that you can take.
With our accurate results, you and your physician can work together to design a personalized screening plan that can detect breast cancer at its earliest stages to prevent its spread and begin a proper treatment.
Genetic Counseling
Understanding the ways in which our genetics can impact our health is not necessarily an easy concept to grasp. Our board-certified genetic counselors will work with you to help you understand the risks and how your genes may put you in a higher risk bracket for developing breast cancer.
And with each of our genetic counselors, they always work to personalize their plan to each client, so that your experience is truly yours.
Personalized Genetic Testing
You want to know your risk for cancer, and Angelenome lets you do just that. By analyzing your genetic makeup, our home genetic test can determine your risk for developing breast cancer.
In your comprehensive report, you’ll find:
With Angelenome, we’re more than just a genomic testing kit – we’re those guardian angels on your shoulders, keeping a watchful eye over you and your loved ones.
We’re Here To Answer Your Questions. So, Go Ahead And Ask Away!
See some of our most frequently asked questions below, but if you do not see your question listed or if you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Angelenome is committed to answering any questions that our clients may have.
Angelenome does not determine if you are going to get any form of cancer throughout your life. Instead, it takes a look at your genetic makeup and determines if your genes are consistent with the genes of those who have developed breast cancer at some point in their lives. Our test looks at hereditary genes as well as gene mutations to determine your particular level of risk for developing breast cancer. Please note that the presence of these at-risk genes does not mean that you will develop breast cancer at some point in your life.
It typically takes a period of approximately 3 to 4 weeks for us to receive your test kit, analyze it thoroughly, and develop your personal report. While we remain focused on providing our clients the fastest turnaround times, we are unable to guarantee a specific time frame in which you can expect your results. Different factors can impact turnaround time including the specific and unique data that we handle for each individual sample.
Depending on your results, you may be confused as to what it means if you test negative or positive for a specific gene. Negative results translate to negative results for mutations that are associated with an increased risk for breast cancer – in other words, negative results are the ones that you’re looking for. Positive results indicate that a mutation has been found that could increase your risk for developing breast cancer.
While in no way does a positive result imply that you have cancer or that you may develop cancer sometime in your lifetime, it is certainly an indication that you should have a conversation with your healthcare professional and work with them to develop a personalized cancer screening plan.
Absolutely not! However, you would want to inquire with your physician after you receive your results, so that they can help you read them and determine some next steps where applicable. In addition, if your physician ordered the test for you, they will automatically receive a copy of your results.
If you test positive for a gene mutation consistent with the development of breast cancer, it may be a wise idea to have your family members (who are 18 years of age or older) also take an Angelenome test as well.
There are a number of cancers that are considered hereditary. Genes come into play because we inherit genes from our family members. While cancer is an extremely complex disease that has a number of different known and unknown causes, the best defense to it is being preventative and constantly screening yourself if you know that you are at risk. When it comes to breast cancer, if you have a family member who experienced it throughout their lifetime, it would be a good idea to take a genetic test to determine your own risk.
At Angelenome, we are particularly focused on securing and protecting the sensitive information and privacy of our clients. Your results are available to you and only you, unless a healthcare professional ordered the test for you, or if you should choose to share it with them. Your test results will not be distributed to any other entity without your written and expressed permission.
For us, nothing is more important than providing the much needed support after you’ve received your results – especially if you test for a positive risk. The Angelenome dedicated mobile application is the perfect place for you to manage your screening, receive updates on the latest developments in treatment and prevention practices, and connect with various passionate support groups through our forums. And this isn’t just limited to you; we also offer support groups for family members, so that they too can gain access to the critical support that they need if you’ve received positive results – all through our dedicated mobile application.
